The Voice group includes five, award-winning weekly community newspapers. The Voice newspapers are proud members of several area Chambers of Commerce: Anchor Bay, Central Macomb, Greater Algonac, Marine City and Richmond. We recognize the importance of community involvement, and we are contributors to many area events throughout the year including The Bay-Rama Festival in New Baltimore, Algonac's Pickerel Festival, Marine City Maritime Days and The Armada Fair in summer; Richmond Good Old Days in autumn; the Jingle Bell Run through the streets of downtown New Baltimore in December and the New Baltimore Lions Winterfest in February. The first edition of The Bay Voice was published from a small office in New Baltimore in 1983. In 1985, The Downriver Voice and North Macomb Voice were added. In 1989, the main office moved to a new location in Chesterfield. The Blue Water Voice published its first edition in 1990 and an office in downtown Marine City was established for the Blue Water and Downriver Voices. The Macomb Township Voice published its first edition in 1994. Voice Newspapers, Inc., was purchased by 21st Century Newspapers, Inc. from founders Tom Stanton and Joe and Dorothy Stabile 2000 and the main office moved to downtown New Baltimore
Through 19 years of serving the community, The Voice staff has earned more than 80 state and national awards.
